The #1 Solar Repairs Team
The majority of components of your solar system are easy to maintain and can be used for many years without any issues. Sometimes, however, solar repairs may be necessary to ensure that your system generates the most power when the sun is up.
Low-quality solar inverters can be a side effect of the solar boom. Many Gold Coast homes are not receiving the full sun’s energy that they could through their solar systems. This is not only frustrating, but also a huge, unnecessary expense.
It’s possible your solar inverter may be malfunctioning and not converting sunlight into electricity. Your solar inverter may need repairs if it displays fault codes, produces low or no electricity, or generates intermittent power.

Did you know half of solar panels don't operate at full power after three years in the sun? Have your panels checked today.
You won’t be able to tell if your panels still work efficiently if you aren’t a solar expert. Here are signs that your solar panels may not be working as well as they used.
- Lower electrical output This will reduce your panels’ performance at the start of peak performance. A significant drop in output could indicate a problem.
- Visual inspection – did you notice visible damage on a panel? Are there any debris blocking the panel? You might notice a better performance if you remove the debris.
- Age– It’s common to see a performance drop in solar panels as they age. Give us a call at 0449 973 711.
Can solar inverters be replaced?
Many solar inverters are not able to be repaired. Some parts, such as fuses and DC plug inputs, can be replaced. Latronics is one example of a brand that can be returned to the manufacturer for repair. Although each case is unique, inverter repairs are often performed on a case-by-case basis. However, more often than not, the inverter will have to be replaced.
What is the replacement cost of a solar inverter?
Every replacement will have a unique cost. Price depends on several factors, including the size and KW rating of the inverter, location, wiring requirements, and the type of DC Isolators.
Can solar panels be replaced?
Gold Coast solar panels are most commonly damaged by hail/storm damage or other circumstances. Wiring and other connectivity issues can also cause damage. Our solar technicians can repair some, depending on the type of fault. However, the options are limited. In general, panels that are damaged or defective will need to be replaced. How to properly maintain a solar system?
It is recommended that your solar system is inspected annually. Also, it is important to check the DC rooftop Iolators for water ingress. If they are not in good condition, they can pose a fire hazard.
What are the costs involved in a solar system?
The price of solar systems have dropped significantly over the last few years. A 4kW solar system costs between $4,000 and $6,000 today. Imagine that you are planning to use a microinverter or optimizer of high quality. The average solar system installation cost is 20% higher in this case.
You should note, however, that many factors can impact the cost of solar systems, such as their size and who will be installing them. The solar rebate program of Australia reduces the cost of PV systems. However, the cost of a PV system is now much less than it was before.
